SOCIAL EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY CONSULTANCY

This is probably best suited to those photographers that are looking to enhance their initial skill sets following a 1 day course. With the experience gained by Paul Rogers in Social Event Photography Paul is looking to offer what help and guidance to those looking to break into this sector of Event Photography. You may be vastly experienced in sports photography but are finding more and more customers realising they could use you for social events due to your capability to print on-site. So then ask yourself, are you good at gaining instant rapport with people? Can you make them feel comfortable and relaxed in 30 seconds? Can you pose them in a way that will be both pleasing to them as well as encouraging them to buy? Many of these things come naturally, but many can also be learnt.

There are several ways to approach Social Event Photography and we all have methods and techniques which we feel best suit us. Paul specialises in Social Event Photography and tends not to do football or equestrian, or Proms for that matter, and has his own techniques. Paul's company to date this year (2009) has undertaken over 100 Social events. He likes to think he has a good track record and can offer an insight into what is required to be a Social Event Photographer.

What is on offer?
Rather than you coming to one of Paul's events he would look to come and attend one of your events with you. Paul would look to try and advise you about your kit, marketing workflow. Then on-site I would look to assist in:-

Positioning of studio at venue
On-site promotion
Poses
Customer/Photographer rapport
On-site sales techniques
Lighting

Obviously this information would be based on his experiences (and even Gordon Ramsey isn't always right...although he thinks he is ) and hopefully would give the photographer a great lift up to enhancing the skills they already have. Paul would then be on hand to answer any follow up questions at any time. You also get an extra pair of hands lugging equipment about!!
